Financial Aid for CDL Schools text with truck on road

Is There Financial Aid for CDL Schools?

Find Financing for Your CDL License

When the economy gets tough, many people look towards the transportation industry to start a new career. We understand that it can be daunting to have to start fresh and, due to that, we have plenty of payment options available for new truck drivers to obtain their CDL license at our truck driving school.

From traditional cash payments to financing and even government grants, our goal is to make sure truck drivers don’t encounter any hurdle while trying to kick-start their new trucking career.

DriveCo CDL Institute offers more financial aid options than any trucking school in the Midwest.

Government Grants

Indiana Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA):

The Indiana Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program provides access to job training to individuals with significant barriers to employment – including veterans, and those with disabilities. If you have been laid-off, receiving unemployment or SNAP benefits, you may be eligible for a grant to pay tuition.

Indiana Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA):

The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program provides support to displaced workers who have lost their jobs, had their hours cut or have had wages reduced as a result of production moving outside of the country.

To see if you qualify for the WIOA or TAA programs, please visit our Government Programs page for more information or give us a call at 219-336-8722.

Military Benefits

DriveCo is approved for a variety of Veterans Administration funding programs for active service members, reservists, and military veterans. As an Active Duty or Military Veteran, you may be eligible for educational benefits through GI Bill ® benefit programs. Learn more by visiting our Veterans page.

Sponsorship Training:

Some national carriers work with DriveCo to pre-hire truck driving students and pay their tuition costs if qualified. For most carriers the only qualification is committing to working for them for one year.

Tuition Reimbursement:

Several trucking companies offer tuition reimbursement for students who pay their tuition out-of-pocket. DriveCo has strong partnerships with carriers who offer monthly installments without the requirement of signing any firm contract.

Additional Payment Options:

DriveCo offers two affordable cash payment plans that involve little or no interest. Our cash plan includes a DOT physical, drug screening, two-state skills testing fees, use of our trucks and course materials.

With so many tuition assistance options available, consult with an admissions representative to learn which option works best for your situation by contacting a DriveCo representative.
