Truck Driver Training Programs for an Indiana CDL

DriveCo CDL Learning Center offers a Truck Driver Training Program that is designed to teach students everything they need to know to successfully operate a tractor-trailer. The course material presented in DriveCo’s CDL Training gives students the skills and knowledge needed as a Tractor Trailer Driver. DriveCo’s training program offers in-depth classroom instruction, paired with hands-on driving skills, which helps students to succeed on the road. The information taught will enable students, upon obtaining entry-level employment, to further develop their career as professional truck drivers.

CDL Training Programs

Class A CDL Training

The Class A CDL Training program prepares students for entry-level truck driving careers both over-the-road (OTR) and locally. No previous experience is needed to enroll in this course – just a willingness to learn! During truck driver training, students learn & develop the skills necessary to pass the Indiana CDL skills test. Students will receive job placement assistance while training, including interview preparation and several opportunities to meet with trucking company representatives interested in hiring DriveCo graduates!

CDL Refresher Course

Do you already have your CDL and have driving experience, but need to brush up on your skills? Looking to re-start your trucking career? No matter the case, we’ve got you covered in our CDL Refresher Course. We offer a refresher truck driving course because we are committed to driver success. Students must have recent experience with Class A vehicles. Students must have a Class A License or Class A Instruction permit to enroll.

Private CDL Training

For companies seeking custom instruction, we can provide specialized training, based on your company’s specific needs. This private and personalized training can be conducted on-site or at our school. Training will be taught by CVTA certified instructors on-site or at our school.

Requirements:

  • You have to be at least 21 years old to drive cargo across a state border.
  • You must have the ability to pass the D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen Test.
  • You need a valid driver’s license or permit which is not suspended or revoked and an acceptable driving record.
  • You must be able to read, speak and write English well enough to pass the Commercial Driver’s License test at the BMV, converse with the general public, understand highway signs and signals, respond to official questions, and make entries on reports and records.

TRAIN

With DriveCo, students will have in-classroom instruction, as well as the opportunity to drive at our Gary, IN location. There is no need to travel to another location for training when it can all be done at the same place!

DRIVE

DriveCo has several training trucks students will drive in during their training. Students will spend time driving with their instructors in our driving yard, located at our school, as well as on highways and interstates within Gary, IN.

TEST

When students go take their CDL Test, they will only have to travel a few miles away from our Gary, IN location. Students will also be able to drive in the same trucks they have used throughout their training during the CDL Testing!
